Inland Empire Malayalee Association (IEMA)

Inland Empire Malayalee Association, also known as IEMA is a registered non-profit, secular and cultural organization formed to unite malayalee communities in and around Southern California. IEMA provides a forum for its members to meet, communicate and foster a spirit of friendship and goodwill. IEMA is based in the Inland Empire and bridges all families from Southern California who have a connection to the state of Kerala, popularly known as “God’s own country”. Numerous social and cultural events conducted by IEMA throughout the year make it possible to uphold and propagate the rich Kerala heritage to all, especially the younger generation.

The malayalee community started migrating into the Inland Empire, California in 1980. The influx increased from 1990 onwards. IEMA started as a small group to celebrate the festival of Onam every year. As the years went by, there were more Malayalee families who came into this area and started participating in events, leading to the birth of IEMA, a California registered 501 C(3) non-profit organization.

Please join IEMA and give back to our communities

COVID-19 has inflicted significant distress upon communities in the Inland Empire. We were already dealing with homelessness even before COVID-19. Many communities across the IE are in dire need of help. Join us and give back to the IE..

IEMA is stepping up and serving the community. We have started offering free nutritious meals to those who are suffering. Additionally, to show our appreciation, we are sharing meals with the heroes of our community. These include essential workers in healthcare, grocery stores, pharmacies etc.

Join us to help expand the outreach. Our members are in industries like health, store & distribution, IT, and more. Our professional diversity helps us understand the challenges we face. Bring your ideas and assist us in channeling resources efficiently to help the community.

We await you…
